Finish That Project!
A Guide to Completing a Picture

Finish That Project! Saturday, May 3rd, 10 - 1 PM
from $75.00

Do you have an unfinished painting or drawing lying around? Maybe you have an art project you’ve been trying to finish, but just don’t know how to wrap it up? In this one-day workshop we will focus on the concepts to consider when finishing a painting or drawing, and how to bring a project to a close.

Students will bring in an unfinished project (or multiple projects!) of their choosing (medium can be painting or drawing), and will receive guidance on how to complete the piece. This class will primarily focus on time to work on your piece under the guidance of our instructor, as well as a checklist of general concepts to look for when deciding whether or not a piece is finally “done”.

Intro to Charcoal Drawing

Intro to Charcoal Drawing - Sunday, July 20th, 10 AM - 1 PM
from $75.00

Learn the basics of drawing with Charcoal. Possibly the oldest art medium in existence, charcoal has been well loved for its drawing capabilities, intense darks, and flexible qualities. Often it is thought of as the halfway point between drawing and painting, due to its fluid nature.

In this one day workshop, we will be introducing you to the medium and the many techniques you can use when drawing with this medium.

Materials List will be posted soon

Capturing Character:
Sketching Portraits & Faces

Capturing Characters: Sketching Portraits & Faces Aug 24th, 10 AM - 1 PM
from $75.00

Join us in this one-day workshop focused on quick sketches of Portraits & Faces! The focus of the class will be on capturing the character or “likeness” of a person in a quick sketch.

Students will create several “character studies” to practice, sketching various face types. In class we will focus on learning how to determine what makes a face unique, and how to capture that in their drawing. Additional concepts such as facial construction, line quality, and shading techniques will also be covered.

Materials List will be posted soon.
