Learn to capture expressive portraits in one session with Alla Prima painting. This hands-on workshop teaches bold brushwork, color, and spontaneity-- perfect for artists of all levels.

This workshop will run from 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM on Saturday, February 28th. In this class, students will learn how to capture a portrait in oils in a single day. Working “alla prima”, which translates as “at first attempt”, students will focus on quickly capturing the big impression and overall structure of the face, while using loose and bold brushwork in a descriptive way.

There will be a lunch break from 12 - 1, students may bring their own lunch or dine out at any of the nearby restaurants.
